Since 1894, our family has cultivated its vineyards in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, in the villages of Chigny-les-Roses and Ludes both classified as Premier Cru.
It is here, on these hillsides shaped by time, that each of our Champagnes is born.
Far more than just a place of production, our Terroir is the true signature of our House. It gives our wines their identity, balance, and elegance.
Our estate spans 5.5 hectares, distributed across 27 plots located exclusively in the communes of Chigny-les-Roses and Ludes two iconic villages of the Montagne de Reims.
Our vineyards are situated on the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims, an area renowned for producing Champagnes of great finesse, where natural freshness yields wines that are elegant, precise, and built for aging.
This mosaic of plots allows us to reveal the full diversity of our terroir and craft cuvées that remain true to their origins.
Beneath our vines lies a subsoil composed primarily of chalk, clay, and limestone a true asset of our terroir.
The chalk acts like a natural sponge: it stores water during wet periods and gradually releases it to the vine during drier spells. This natural mechanism allows the vine to maintain its balance throughout its growing cycle.
These soils lend our Champagnes:
Each plot has its own distinct personality, which we aim to preserve during winemaking.
Our vineyard is composed of the three historical grapes of Champagne:
Majority on the estate, it brings sweetness, roundness and a juicy fruit. It offers to our mixtures a fine accessibility from their youth.
Emblematic vineyard of the Montagne de Reims, it brings structure, depth, and character. It gives our Champagnes their fine aroma and potential for keeping.
Renowned for its finesse, it brings freshness, tension, and elegance. It elevates our cuvées with its aromatic precision and minerality.
Because a great Champagne always starts with the vine, we give special attention to each of our plots.
Over the seasons, we prefer practices that respect the soils and biodiversity:
Our terroir is above all a family history.
Since 1894 we cultivate the same vineyards with the will to transmit a living heritage, made of precise gestures, experience and passion.
Each bottle we brew is a reflection of this transmission, but also of the millennial, the plots and the work done throughout the year.
Our ambition is simple: to offer authentic Champagnes, sincere and faithful to their origin.
« We do not seek to make Champagnes that are similar. We seek to leave our terroir to express its authenticity, so that each bottle tells the story of our vines, our family and our village. »
The best way to understand our terroir is still to visit it.
